Utility Sales Associates, Inc. is a manufacturer’s representative company. U.S.A., Inc. concentrates its sales efforts in the states of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

Electric utilities are the primary customers of U.S.A., Inc. Each investor owned utility, REA, and municipal electric system is assigned to a salesman. U.S.A. is also active in DOT and government markets where related products are used in these projects.

U.S.A., Inc. does not stop at the end users. The distributors, contractors, and consulting engineering firms who support the power utility industry are also covered. OEMs and large power users are also assigned and covered.

U.S.A., Inc. was founded in January 1990 by Alan Martin, Mike Cutright, and Matt Fraser. Mike and Matt continue to operate the company today. Matt lives in the Richmond, Virginia area; Mike resides in Denton, Maryland. . The most recent addition to the outside sales force of U.S.A., Inc. is Pete Sculley, joining the company in mid-1999. Pete lives in Bethlehem, PA. Each salesman has specific assigned accounts within a defined geographical area. This system facilitates productive selling efforts and eliminates travel expense duplication.

Mike, Matt, and Pete represent a total of 71 years of sales experience to electric utilities. Most of these years have been spent calling on the same accounts for which they have responsibility now, either working directly for a manufacturer or for a manufacturers representative company.

Mike was born and grew up in West Virginia where he graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College. He has done graduate work at Salisbury University and at Loyola College in Maryland. Between 1972 and 1980 Mike was a teacher, athletic director and high school basketball coach in Maryland. Although Mike had tremendous success and popularity in the academic field, he opted for a career change in 1980 and went to work as a salesman for JB Sales Co., Inc.

Mike covered all electric utility accounts in Maryland and Delaware. He took to his new career in sales immediately, and since 1980 this territory experienced explosive sales growth. During the late 1980’s, Mike became the top producer within the company, showing an ability to close large orders on new product lines.

Mike is married to Cay and they have two daughters. The Cutrights reside in Denton, Maryland.

Matt grew up in Virginia and in Pennsylvania where he graduated from the College of Engineering at Bucknell University in 1980. Upon graduation he was accepted in the Technical Marketing Program at the General Electric Co., and had positions within the Power Transformer, Lighting Systems, Medium Voltage Switchgear, and Meter Business Departments. In 1982 Matt became a sales engineer for GE in Beaumont, Texas, responsible for sales of power transmission and distribution products.

In 1986, Fisher Pierce hired Matt as their Eastern Regional Sales Manager responsible for working with all of the Fisher Pierce manufacturers' representatives on the east coast at electric utilities. This region experienced 30% sales growth between 1986 and 1989. In late 1988 Matt relocated in Richmond to become a salesman with JB Sales Co., Inc. Matt called on electric utility accounts in Virginia and West Virginia, gaining excellent familiarity with the customers and product lines.

Matt is married to Patti, and they have two daughters and a son. They reside in Midlothian, Virginia.

Pete, a Philadelphian by birth, has lived in Pennsylvania all his life. Upon graduation in 1971 from Drexel University with a BS in Marketing, he was hired by Mobil Oil Corporation. Pete worked in the marketing department of Mobil for eight years before leaving and going to work for MDI Traffic Control Products.

Before becoming a part of Utility Sales Associates, Inc. Pete worked for thirteen years as regional sales manager for MDI selling and marketing work area protection products through manufacturer’s representatives and local distributors to utilities and their contractors.

Pete and his wife Jane reside in Bethlehem, PA and have a daughter and a son.

Vickie was born and raised in Powhatan County, VA and serves as USA’s full time Inside Sales Coordinator in the principal office in Powhatan, VA. Vickie has had various jobs locally in customer service, inside sales, bookkeeping and office management. Vickie is a quick learner, detail oriented, and extremely competent in a multi-tasking environment. Vickie’s responsibilities include order entry, order expediting, product pricing, and general sales support. She is married to Glenn, and has four children. Vickie resides in Powhatan County, VA, which is also the principal office location of U.S.A., Inc.
