Brad is a native of North Carolina and currently lives in Amelia, Virginia. He earned his Electronics Engineering
Degree from Stanly Community College and his Master of Business Administration degree from the East Coast
Polytechnic Institute (ECPI). Brad spent 33 years in the electric distribution cooperative industry. He has
extensive experience in technical services and operations for an electric distribution utility. This experience
includes load management, electric metering, SCADA, communications, distribution automation, power quality,
substation maintenance, electric rate design, major outage restoration, and more. Brad considers safety a core
value and his record shows it.
Before joining the USA team, he was the Vice President of Operations at Southside Electric Cooperative (SEC) in
Crewe, Virginia. Prior to that, he served as the Manager of Engineering and Operations for Heartland Rural
Electric Membership Corporation (REMC). Over the course of his 33-year career, he worked not only for SEC and
Heartland, but also Albemarle EMC and Union EMC. Bradley and his wife Sandra have four children and four
grandchildren. They have resided in Amelia, Virginia since 2015.
